We are looking for an experienced business development manager to take on responsibility for the products under our Professional Sprayers People brand / business unit. These products consist of manually operated and motor driving sprayers, granule applicators, powder applicators, leaf blowers and associated accessory products, certified by the most important agricultural institutes all over the world. The target market is professional growers, farmers, grounds keepers, estate managers, horticulturists and forestry workers.
We need a hungry and driven individual to expand and develop both the direct and re-seller channels for this product range. We have in place an exclusive a master distribution agreement for the UK, France, Spain and Ireland with Guarany who are the largest manufacturer of such equipment in Latin America. Our business plan promises substantial growth over the coming 5 years and we need a high calibre individual to execute this plan.
Full product training will be given including onsite training at Guarany’s factory in Brazil. The candidate will be expected to liaise with the principle supplier and keep themselves updated on all new product developments as well as networking with their other distributors, marketing and sales staff in order to find out about lucrative niche markets and opportunities.
The role will also involve close coordination with our marketing department to help develop our social selling strategy as well as assisting in the creation of suitable marketing content, literature and promotional material. Input will be required on which trade shows and event to attend as well as on which niche markets to target.
The role will be office based but there will be a substantial time spent on the road visiting potential customers, re-sellers and sub distributors.
Initially the focus will be on developing the UK market but in due course we will wish to develop the French and Spanish markets. When this territory expansion is undertaken it is anticipated that another member of staff will be taken on with the relevant language skills, so there will be an opportunity to run a small sales team in due course.
